“For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ your life appears, then you too will appear with Him in glory.” Colossians 3:3-4
We have lost a lot during this Lent. I know I have. Days of longing, nights of tears, just waiting, agonizing for the suffering to be over. When our hearts are heavy, we should unite them with Christ. We need to die to the world as He did so He may raise us up again.
Lent is over. Today is Easter. Let us rise.
While 2020’s Easter feels different, the joy of Christ’s Resurrection is still the same. He rose to give us new life and hope. He wants us to join Him in His radiant glory.
I encourage you today to bring the joy of Easter into your homes. Christ is with you wherever you are. He will turn your sorrow to gladness, transform your mourning into dancing.
As Saint John Paul II said,
“Do not abandon yourselves to despair. We are the Easter people and hallelujah is our song.”
I wish you the most blessed and Happy Easter! Hallelujah!
